Blessed The Beatitudes book those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Likewise we need to recognize that, as human beings, we want everything now! Now, at the closing chapter, the informed reader of Revelation recognizes nothing stands in the way of Christ—be it death, beasts, false prophets, Satan or time. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Humility brings an openness and an inner peace, allowing one to do the will of God. We hesitate to conclude definitively, and so it is easier to be more patient with others, gentler, and more open to listening to them, whomever they might be.
